Noli Sörnäinen

Avarrus was very excited to take on the task from Noli Studios to breathe new life into the 60’s office building “Kansa-talo”. The former office floors inhabit 197 rooms and the lowest 2 floors services for the hotel and the neighborhood. Guests are directed upwards via a dramatic circular staircase from the entrance lobby which opens to a busy street. Warm oak steps lead to the entrance hall from the ground floor⁠. Amazing city views can be enjoyed from every room of the tower. Hotel rooms' existing pivoting window frames were made of massive oak and renovated to enhance the soundproofing against traffic noise.⠀
