Conversion of a 1938 office building into a residential building.
The former office building of the Finnish Forest Research Institute was converted into residential use in 2020. This functionalist gem, designed by Jalmari Peltonen in 1938, is located in a green and historic setting in Jokiniemi, Vantaa, just one kilometer from the bustling Tikkurila station. A unique feature of the small apartments is their sleeping lofts made from massive CLT (cross-laminated timber).
