From 1970's office building into hotel
Europe’s fastest-growing hotel operator, Bob W., opened an apartment hotel in Helsinki’s Kamppi district, in a former office building completed in 1971 that had long been underutilized.
The apartment hotel will feature 99 kitchen-equipped units, suitable for both short- and long-term stays. The design respects the original characteristics of the 1970s building.
The interior, designed by KOKO3, combines earthy tones and a variety of textures, beautifully complementing the building’s raw concrete surfaces and architecture.
Special attention has been paid to energy efficiency and green solutions in the renovation process, and the building was awarded LEED Gold certification as a result.
